The 1972 Play Family Airport by Fisher Price was a holy grail for many kids of that era, the toy that they may have hoped to find under the Christmas tree. Offered here with Airport Jet and Airport Helicopter, this set does not have the luggage train or Little People figures that came with the set.
This toy does show some signs of play; one of the helicopter's landing skids has a broken tip, and two of the exterior litho'd decals are peeling at the edges. The interior decals are in comparatively better condition. The helicopter's blades rotate when it's attached to the landing pad, and the same crank also turns the rotating luggage conveyor. There are a lot of fun features on this set, including the unique swing-out runway design, a drive-up ramp for passenger drop offs, and a detailed control tower. This set was only in production for 4 years, and is fairly hard to track down today in any condition.
